Imagine That Everyone
Has an Angel
Margaret Neylon is a psychic consultant and an author of several books. She has written “An Angel a Day, Angel Magic, and Open Your Heart to Angel Love.” Quotes from her books often appear on beliefnet.com. Recently while on beliefnet.com I read something that she had written. She wrote, “Today imagine that you can see the angels walking beside everyone you meet. See how your perception of people, and of life, changes when you recognize that everyone has an angel!” It was early in the morning when I had read this but her words stayed with me as I showered and got ready for work. Her words stayed with me as I drove to work and then they left my mind as I arrived at work and became involved in my emails, phone calls, and daily routine.
It wasn’t until later that day that her words once again returned to my mind. The office that day was filled with tension; you know one of those days when people just didn’t seem to see eye to eye, one of those days when you just want to stay out of the conflict – do your job and get home where you feel the love and companionship of your family. Yes, it was one of those days when I whispered to myself, “Just lay low Paula, it is almost time to go home.” Then, Margaret’s words entered my mind, “Today imagine that you can see the angels walking beside everyone you meet. See how your perception of people, and of life, changes when you recognize that everyone has an angel.”
There I was in this tension filled office imagining that all of these unhappy people had angels walking beside them. Miraculously, it did change my perception of people and of life. I imagined the angels trying to get their attention and whispering to them to relax, whispering to them to consider the other person’s point of view, and softly encircling them with their love in hopes that their words and actions would reflect their inner love towards their colleagues.
I then tried to imagine what their angel looked like. Take the person who was always moody, critical, and unhappy – what did her angel look like? Oh, and how about the manager who knew everything and was not always truthful – what did his angel look like? Did the grumpy elderly man really even have an angel?
I then tried to imagine if their angels looked unhappy, did they frown, did they shake their heads? Or did these wonderful beings of light only feel love? Were these beings of light saddened by our words and actions or did they always remain hopeful that we would hear their whispers?
Was my angel happy with my behavior that tension filled day? Or was my angel also whispering to me to help change the situation, to help everyone come to a place of understanding?
Yes, simply reading Margaret Neylon’s words, “Today imagine that you can see the angels walking beside everyone you meet. See how your perception of people, and of life, changes when you recognize that everyone has an angel.” It really did change my perception of people, and of life; it made me realize that we are all loved, we are all connected, and all of us – each and every one of us does have an angel. We all have an angel that loves us, guides us, and is with us always; always whispering and always hoping that we will hear them and act in love, kindness, and compassion in each and every situation we find ourselves in.
Try imagining that you can see the angels walking beside everyone you meet; you will be amazed at how it changes your perception of people and of life…and, just think of the joy that our angels must feel when our lives are filled with laughter, happiness, and love!
